Cognitive-behavioral strategies and other techniques are employed as needed. Our mission is to provide in-depth and on-going services with an open-ended commitment to our patients for as long as it might be beneficial to them to avail themselves of our services.

Contemporary Psychoanalysis

Contemporary Psychoanalysis offers a modern approach for an in-depth understanding of how psychological problems are formed and offers a new way to help people resolve deep emotional and relationship problems. Contemporary Psychoanalysis emphasizes the evolving relationship between the therapist and the patient. A trusting therapeutic relationship provides the safe ground to unearth early childhood experiences, relationship issues, and dream analysis that might illuminate present difficulties. A balance of attention is placed on the past, present, and imagined future.

Existential-Humanistic Psychology

Existential-Humanistic therapies focus on helping the patient understand their particular situation in life, help them make better sense of it, and help the patient identify and act on options that are available to them. The starting point in this process is empathizing with the patient and understanding how they see the world and their life-span. Once this relationship is established, truly significant change can take place. Existential-Humanistic theories also believe that people are inclined towards growing as a person and creating meaning in their lives. A trusting confidential relationship between the therapist and patient is the primary means of accomplishing this. Sensitivity to our mortality is always maintained.

Multi-modal Multi-Member Individual and Family Psychoanalytic Therapy
(Mm Mm Psa)

Multi-modal Multi-Member Individual and Family Psychoanalytic Therapy (Mm Mm Psa) is an integrated system of contemporary psychoanalytic therapies designed by Dr. Salomon to maximize the abilities of the therapist and the patient in the context of his/her social relationships and family dynamics (Salomon, 2009). Mm Mm Psa therapy aims to balance the needs of self-interest and self-love with the needs to love, care, and understand the needs of others. The therapist helps each individual, as well as the family system attain their highest level of mental health. The Mm Mm Psa therapist values an emotionally close relationship with each family member, as this is believed to be the most effective way to identify the perspectives of each individual. Within these intimate relationships, the therapist believes that he/she can facilitate constructive change in terms of perceptions, attitudes and emotional experience to meet the needs of each member of the family. The family or relationship system is the identified patient.
